The Racegoers' Consultative Forum - Making your racing experience better
If you are a race-goer with ideas and would like to be heard, the Forum members in your area are there to listen. They will bring your ideas to Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and the racecourses, working to make a difference for race-goers regionally and nationally. Please feel free to approach the members with your comments when you see them on course. They have dedicated Racegoers' Consultative Forum Member jackets and you will generally see a racecard ad with their details when they are on course.
The Forum is made up of race-goers from around the country, from different regions, ages and walks of life. The aim of the forum is to improve the race going experience for both new and regular race-goers alike. Matters will be brought to the attention of the racecourses, the board of HRI and recommendations will be made.
The Forum has 14 members from around the country, including 2 appointed by the Minister for Arts Sport and Tourism. It has formal meetings every quarter with the senior executives of HRI, chaired by HRI board member Mr Noel Cloake.
To facilitate racegoers, the Forum has created a regional structure. The list below sets out the regions and the racecourses that belong in each.

The Racegoers' Consultative Forum was established as a requirement of the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001 "for the purpose of consultations relating to the operations of HRI in the context of developments of desired developments in the horseracing industry generally as they affect the race-goer or service or facility user".
