The three-day festival of evening racing at Bellewstown is the
perfect way to wind down in the days after the heady heights of the Irish Derby.
Racing on the Hill of Crockafotha at Bellewstown epitomises summer sport, with
racing first recorded here in 1726. Notable racing highlights during the course
of the festival are the Sam Dennigan & Co. Hurdle and the Crockafotha
Handicap Hurdle. It may be small in stature, but this festival is big in
tradition, heart and atmosphere and it is a place where race goers tend to
return time and time again.
