Escape from your hectic day-to-day routine and enjoy the most laidback racing in the country amid breathtaking scenery. This festival is the centre piece of Killarney’s racing year and has an appealing mix of Flat and National Hunt racing over the five days. This festival is also very important as a guide to the big Galway Festival meeting two or three weeks later and a healthy percentage of the runners will have Galway on their agenda.
Wednesday is Kids Day with all day family entertainment and also features the Kerryman Long Distance Hurdle. Thursday is Ladies Day with the Dawn Dairies Queen of Fashion competition. Also, due to the success of the inaugural “ Most Stylish Hat Award” introduced in 2008, once again ladies will have the opportunity to use their imagination and sense of style, and compete for this stand alone Award.
