Naturea to win at Dundalk
Lusis Naturea ran
his best race for a while last Friday night and the eight-year-old can credit
trainer Caroline McCaldin with her first winner in the Killowen Contracts Handicap
at Dundalk tonight.
Twice a winner at the track for Noel Kelly in early 2016, Lusis
Naturea bounced back to form when a narrow runner-up to the gambled-on Yarraman
over the extended ten furlongs a week ago. He finished ahead of three of
tonight’s rival and might just go a place better now as he goes back up in
Nigg Bay also
took second spot in his race at the venue last week and he too can make a
return to the winners’ enclosure in the opening Crowne Plaza Race And Stay Handicap.
He had Ty Rock Brandy behind him when just losing out to the admirable Togoville
and looks a leading player despite running from the widest stall.
Georgian Bay is
certainly the one to beat in the Ace Casino Kildare Town Claiming Race. He was
a winner here late last year and again in January and his most recent form also
reads well, having run nicely behind Sheisdiesel in a similar race to this at
the beginning of last month and again when fifth in a good handicap over a mile
three weeks ago.
Masalai can back
up his success over a mile here a month ago as he goes up in distance for the
Ready Mix Concrete Handicap and another dual course winner taken to show up
well is Gougane Barra which can
benefit from the extra furlong to win the Marshes Shopping Centre Ladies Day
Sunday April 14 Handicap.
