Mokhalad can score for top jock Keane

The Book Direct On SpringhillCourt.com Handicap can go the way of Mokhalad forDamien English and Colin Keane. He went up 4lbs in the ratings for a cosy success over Emphatic, who has since gone on to be second on two occasions at the Galway festival. He will have no problem with an ease in the ground and having been victorious over both six furlongs and a mile, the seven-furlong trip today should be just fine.

High Street Lady can be forgiven for a below par effort at Galway when last seen after not finding a clear path through the Ballybrit traffic at any stage in the race and is the selection in the Community Day September 21st Claiming Race. Her performance over course and distance at the beginning of June, when second to Cuban Hope reads well and if bringing her “A game”, it would be no surprise if she could win.

The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maidenis full of top-notch pedigrees and unraced potential. It may be worth siding with a bit more experience here though and Geometrical fits that bill. He was a very good second to Harpocrates (who is rated 94) at Naas over six furlongs and a step up to a mile today, along with his match practice, may be the formula for victory.

The McEnery Cup Handicap is a very open contest, but Perfect Tapatino for the Joseph O’Brien yard looks to have a solid chance. He was unlucky not to win at the Curragh in a good renewal of the Ladies Derby. He should be able to perform on this soft ground and can win for the O’Brien brothers.

Who’s Steph will get her preferred soft underground conditions today in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Hurry Harriet Stakes and she is without doubt a talented filly. She has to give weight away to all her rivals, but she is nicely drawn in stall two, comes here in good form and her class may just see her through. Wisdom Mind for Joseph O’Brien is another who deserves a mention. Although her recent form is nothing to shout about, this daughter of Dark Angel will love every bit of rain that falls and her form on ground similar to today is exceptional and she may be overpriced.

The Irish EBF Supporting Irish Champions Weekend Maiden can go the way of Darkened for John Oxx and Niall McCullagh. He is improving with each run and although well beaten into second by Lancaster House at Galway, the winner that day looked special. He is another by Dark Angel who should enjoy the ground and can score from stall seven.

Mountain Fox comes here in good order having been third behind Scorpion Black over a mile last time. He will have another furlong and a half today which will suit and will have no issue with the ground and can take the first division of the 33% Off Tickets At Gowranpark.ie Handicap.

Invincible Queen looks the one to be with in the second division and can round off the card with a win for Ronan Wheelan. She has won at this track with ease in the ground and will appreciate stepping back up in trip from the mile at Bellewstown.

Selections: 4.45 High Street Lady; 5.20 Geometrical; 5.50 Mokhalad (NAP); 6.20 Perfect Tapatino; 6.50 Who’s Steph; 7.20 Darkened; 7.50 Mountain Fox; 8.20 Invincible Queen
