• Autumn Racing at Galway Races

    Autumn racing returns to Galway Races, kicking off with a two day meeting in September, Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th.  The September race meeting is always popular due to its relaxed atmosphere.

    The October Bank Holiday Meeting then returns on the 27th of October for an exciting three days of racing. The ideal way to spend your Bank Holiday weekend!

    September Race Day 1

    Monday, 17th September


    An action packed national hunt card with seven races is on offer on the first day of the September meeting. Racegoers can enjoy the usual great facilities in the enclosure such as delicious food, bar facilities, on-course bookmakers, the big screen, live music and of course great horse racing. Head over to Galway Races' September race meetings and be part of the excitement, fun and electric atmosphere that is The Galway Races.

    September Race Day 2

    Tuesday, 18th September


    Tuesday sees a day of flat racing with seven fantastic races on the card. Racegoers can enjoy the usual great facilities in the enclosure such as good food, bar facilities, on-course bookmakers, the big screen and of course great racing. Turnstiles will open approximately two hours before the first race. Free car parking and admission for children under 12 and there is plenty of seating throughout the enclosure.

    October Race Day

    Tuesday, 9th October


    Tuesday sees a single day of racing with seven fantastic races on the card. Racegoers can enjoy the usual great facilities in the enclosure such as good food, bar facilities, on-course bookmakers, the big screen and of course great racing. This raceday is the ideal opportunity to enjoy a mid week October racing so don’t miss out!

    Breast Cancer Research Day

    Sunday, 28th October


    The team at Galway Racecourse are proud to be working with Professor Michael Kerins and his dedicated team at BCR to organise this event.     Student Raceday

    Monday, 29th October


    Monday sees the return of our show stopping Student Raceday in conjunction with the NUIG Voluntary Services Abroad and NUIG Rugby Club, with 7 action packed races, live music, fashion competitions and much more. Tickets for this event can be purchased from the NUIG Socs Box, which include a return bus from NUIG to the racecourse, entry to the races and entry to nightclub afterparties included in ticket price of €20.
