• Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival

    The 2019 summer racing season at the Curragh starts with the two spectacular race days on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May with the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival.

    The event attracts a diverse range of race goers including racing enthusiasts, punters, socialites, fashion aficionados, entertainment seekers and families. 

    Saturday 25th May

    First Classic race day of the season with Europe's top colts competing in the Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas, while the support programme features the Equisoft EBF 2 year old Maiden, FBD Hotels & Resorts Handicap, Cold Move Marble Hill Stakes (Listed, Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes (Group 2) and Lanwades Stud Stakes (Group 2).

    Sunday 26th May

    The Sunday promises to be an exciting day of racing with some of Europe’s best fillies competing for classic race glory in the Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas. The day also boasts the Tattersalls Gold Cup, one of the leading races in Europe for middle distance horses. 

    The weekend will also provide racegoers with the opportunity to experience the new racecourse enclosure and enjoy the lively Garden Village with great food from local restaurants including Hartes, Silken Thomas and Lock 13.
