Pop down to Sligo Races on Wednesday, 9th August for a fantastic day out at the Farmers' Day. It’s going to be a great evening of Steeplechase racing with some serious money for the taking.
A 6 Card Steeplechase – start time 5.25pm – last race 7.55 pm The first of a two day meet at Sligo Racecourse. The Feature Race is The Boyle Sports Handicap Steeplechase of €20,000.
All farmers qualify for a free Race Card on producing a Agri-membership card. Tickets available on line or at the turnstiles. Adult admission €15.00 Senior Citizen and Students €10.00. There is also a group rate of €10.00 for numbers of ten and over.
Thursday 8th August is ladies day with Katherine Lynch the guest judge on the day.
No two Ladies Days are ever the same at Sligo Races. The stakes are high on ladies day and the action off the track on Thursday 10th of August is guaranteed to garner as much attention as the racing.
This amazing fashion showcase remarkably manages to get bigger and bigger by the year. It is a spectacular celebration of Irish style, elegance and glamour.
The winner of the best dressed lady competition will walk away with a top prize of €1,500 cash The nine runners-up will win a cash prize of €200 each.
So it’s well worth making the effort. Katherine will mingle among the racegoers to pick her finalists and will announce the winner in the Parade Ring at 8.00 pm.
