• Longines Irish Champions Weekend

Two great days of racing, as good as you would get anywhere in Europe, boasting five hotly-contested Group 1 races at Leopardstown and the Curragh.

The feature race on the Saturday at Leopardstown is the QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes, while the Palmerstown House Estate Irish St. Leger takes centre stage at the Curragh on Sunday.

Longines Irish Champions Weekend is a sporting and social event combining history, spectacle, glamour, excitement and prestige. It showcases Ireland as a world centre of excellence for horse racing and breeding.

On Saturday, the Goffs Champion Sale in the Leopardstown parade ring before racing is quite an attraction for novice and seasoned racegoers.

Racing at the Curragh on the Sunday is preceded by the Curragh Thoroughbred Trail. Over 400 people will take the opportunity to visit some key local training establishments, including the racing yards of Johnny Murtagh, Michael Halford, John Oxx and Paul Deegan.
