• Punchestown Festival

Punchestown Racecourse is the home of Irish National Hunt Racing in Ireland and hosts a total of 17 race meetings throughout the year. The highlight of this racing calendar is the five-day Irish National Hunt Festival which takes place towards the end of April and generally runs into the May Bank Holiday weekend. The meeting marks the end of the Irish National Hunt season.

The Punchestown Festival hosts some of the best jump racing of the year, with 11 Grade 1 races taking place over the five days. It is the National Hunt Season Finale where many of the principal players from the festivals at Cheltenham, Fairyhouse and Aintree have another opportunity to cross swords.

At the conclusion of the festival, the season's leading performers are honoured and bestowed with the Champion titles. As well as the top-class action throughout the festival, the fun and entertainment continues well into the night with Naas and surrounding towns and villages being a hive of activity during the course of the festivities.
