Seven could be the first of three at Dundalk for Niall McCullagh

Niall McCullagh could be the big winner at Dundalk this evening where he might well be fancying his chances of riding a treble.

The Michael Halford-trained Sampers Seven improved on each of her three runs here late last year and is taken to add to November’s maiden success over five furlongs in the Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Handicap. The form of that event is standing up and it would come as little surprise if she went well on her handicap debut under the veteran jockey.

We know far more about Halford’s Gougane Barra which can record his third course success in the View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Handicap. He was running for the first time since October when chasing home favourite Jon Ess here a month ago and won’t need to be much better to land this.

Although drawn out wide, Theoneyouare might well complete a treble for McCullagh in the concluding Bet On The Best Night Out Handicap, the second division of the race. Niall Egan’s five-year-old easily ran her best race when second to Adnap over this course and distance four weeks ago and can’t be far away from a breakthrough success.

Declan McDonogh can also go well on a typically competitive night of racing. He can land the opening irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap on Anythingyouwantobe which finished with a flourish when fourth behind Lapilli and this evening’s rival Red Cymbal here last month. That was her first start since September and she is entitled to improve.

It should be easier for the former champion jockey as he teams up with Joseph O'Brien in the Happy Valentine’s Day Race. King’s Vow is the standout contender after his three-length success over this course and distance last time and looks more than a match for the higher-rated Kasperenko.

Nimitz is back up in distance and might be the answer to the Fundraise At Dundalk Stadium Handicap while, at the second time of asking, Corvus Glaive is also tried over a longer trip and can win the Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Maiden.

Well fancied here a week ago, Roachdale House is given another chance in the opening leg of the Bet On The Best Night Out Handicap. He takes a notable drop down in distance after taking sixth place behind Morph Speed and could get closer this time.

    5.00 Anythingyouwantobe; 5.30 Sampers Seven; 6.00 King’s Vow; 6.30 Nimitz; 7.00 Corvus Glaive; 7.30 Gougane Barra; 8.00 Roachdale House; 8.30 Theoneyouare (NAP).
