    Two great days of racing, as good as you would get anywhere in Europe, with two hotly contested group one races at Leopardstown and the Curragh. Longines Irish Champions Weekend is a sporting and social weekend filled with glamour, excitement and prestige. It showcases Ireland as a world centre of excellence for horse racing and breeding. 

    The feature race on the Saturday at Leopardstown is the QIPCO Irish Champions Stakes, while Comer Group International Irish St Leger Day takes centre stage at the Curragh on Sunday.

    On Saturday, the Goffs Champion Sale in the Leopardstown Parade ring before racing is quite an attraction for novice and seasoned racegoers.

    Racing at the Curragh on Sunday is preceded by the Curragh Thoroughbred Trail. Over 400 people will take the opportunity to visit some key local training establishments, including the racing yards of Johnny Murtagh, Willie McCreery and John Oxx.     Day 1, Saturday 14th September

    The QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes and the Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes are the highlights on the opening day of Longines Irish Champions Weekend and share top-billing at Leopardstown. Day one at Leopardstown features some of the best flat racing in the world and is a wonderful Irish sporting occasion not to be missed.

    Day two, Sunday 15th September

    Day two of the Longines Irish Champions weekend moves to the historic venue of the Curragh racecourse. There are four Group 1 races on the card and pride of place goes to the Comer Group International Irish St Leger, the final Irish Classic of the season.

    Enjoy a fantastic day, top-class racing and live music. Treat your taste buds to a day of food and beverages at the Curragh and enjoy our Artisan Food Village featuring some of Kildare’s leading food producers. Fun for all the family with kids entertainment on the day. To add to a brilliant day, the second phase of Longines Prize for Elegance also takes place. Day two provides another opportunity to create an outfit that reflects your own individual style and elegance
