Bellewstown Racecourse is beautifully situated on a hill-top setting, home to magnificent views of the Mountains of Mourne to the North and the Irish Sea to the East. Taking in these scenes on a warm summer evening followed by racing is a pleasure in itself. The racecourse famously attracts big crowds all year round for their 8 fixtures. With eight days of fun and racing on the Hill in April, July, August and September this one mile and one furlong left handed course features both flat and hurdle racing. With the unique Hill of Crockafotha providing its uphill finish this track offers exhilarating flat and hurdle competition.

All meetings at Bellewstown take place in the evening time and while it may be small in stature, Bellewstown is big in heart and atmosphere.. The tradition of Summer racing at Bellewstown dates back centuries and the first record of racing appears in the August edition of the Dublin Gazette and the Weekly Courier in 1726.

The two-day meeting in late August attracts large crowds and with both jump and flat racing it is a meeting to mark in your calendar. There are lots of food and beverage outlets within the enclosure.
