Winning connections posing for a picture at Leopardstown racecourse

The only racecourse in Dublin, Leopardstown plays host to many of the biggest races in the Irish racing calendar, on the Flat, over hurdles and over fences. Situated just six miles outside Dublin city centre, it is one of the busiest tracks in the country with both Group and Grade 1 races, including the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes, the Matron Stakes and the Irish Gold Cup.

Racing throughout the year, Leopardstown racecourse draws in large crowds to witness the thrilling action and to spectate top horses teaming up with elite jockeys and trainers. Over jumps, the four day Christmas Festival during December and the two-day Dublin Racing Festival in early February are major meetings. On the flat, Leopardstown races reach their height in September when it is home to the first day of Irish Champions Festival featuring the Irish Champion Stakes over a mile-and-a-quarter.

A number of recognised Classic Trials are held at Leopardstown each April and May and are as popular as the Bulmers Live at Leopardstown summer series of race meetings which feature live music from well known artists once the action on the track has come to an end.

Student race day is also a huge hit at this racecourse proving extremely popular amongst university students who flock to the track. This ticket only event has grown in popularity over the years, making it one of the most successful student events in the country, with tickets always selling out.  As well as seven great races, students can enjoy live music, tipsters, a wide selection of food options and a best dressed girl and guy competition.

Hospitality at Leopardstown is well favoured by many with different private boxes and suites. Premium level seats are also available which offer a reserved stadium seat for the day,  access to the Top Level of the Grandstand and the Circle Lounge area on the 3rd floor. The 1888 restaurant located on the second level of the Grandstand, places  you at the heart of the racing action, with views over the parade ring on one side and stunning race track views on the other.
