A Proper Day Out
Naas racecourse is the destination of top class racing in County Kildare. Hosting a mixture of National Hunt (jump) and Flat racing throughout the year, it attracts the biggest equine names to compete against one another. The course is home to the Grade 1 Lawlor’s of Naas Novice Hurdle in January and a number of important trial races for the biggest National Hunt racing festivals. On the flat, the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes, Group 3 Goffs Lacken Stakes and the richest race at Naas, Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes race are just some of the highlights during the Flat calendar Naas has to offer. The course is a left-handed track with an uphill finish and long run in making each race more thrilling and exciting.

By Road: Coming from Dublin take the exit after Johnstown, Exit 9 at the 'big ball', and coming from the South take the second Naas exit, Exit 9 at the 'Big Ball' after Naas/Newbridge Exit.
By Rail: There is a train service is available from Heuston station, Dublin to Sallins, located just outside Naas. A feeder bus is available from Sallins to Naas. A taxi service is in operation from Sallins station. Telephone 01- 8366222 for train departure times.
By Bus: A Bus Eireann service (Route 126) is available to Naas town, departing from Busarus in Dublin. Naas Racecourse is only a short walk from the bus stop. Tel: (01) 8366111 for departure times.
By Air: Dublin airport is 46 km away. There is a Dublin Coach bus that services a route to Naas Town.
