A graduate of RACE, Conor rode his first winner for trainer Dessie Hughes on the odds-on favourite Grangeclare Lark at Cork in November, 2006. He rode the biggest winner of his career at the Dublin Racing Festival in February 2020 when partnering the Paul Gilligan-trained Glamorgan Duke to success in the Gaelic Plant Hire Handicap Chase and only weeks later won the Grade 2 Ten Up Novice Chase at Navan on the Dermot McLoughlin-trained Captain Cj, his first at that level. Other notable success came on Vics Canvas in the Cork Grand National in 2014 and he finished third on the same horse in the Aintree Grand National two years later.
