From Kilworth, County Cork, Adrian Heskin was associated with the Michael Hourigan yard from the very outset of his career and he burst onto the scene in the Spring of 2010. He rode the Hourigan-trained A New Story to win the Glenfarclas Handicap Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and another big early success came on Church Island in the valuable bet365 Gold Cup Chase Handicap Grade at Sandown. During a spell as retained jockey to leading owner Barry Connell, Heskin rode a second Cheltenham Festival winner when Martello Tower won the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle in 2015. On Tuesday, September 13th 2016, it was announced that Heskin had been appointed as first jockey to Gloucestershire trainer Tom George and the pair struck with their first runner together when Kilbree Kid won at Perth just nine days later.
