From Ardcath, County Meath, Ger Fox was involved in a little bit of racing history when both he and his twin brother Anthony rode two winners at the same meeting at Down Royal on St Stephen's Day, 2014. Ger got the memorable day off to a winning start when taking the opening beginners' chase on the Noel Meade-trained Down Ace. Half-an-hour later, his brother followed up on Stuart Crawford's Ardmillan in a handicap chase while Ger got a second winner when Coney Choice took the opportunity handicap hurdle for trainer Jane Gillespie. Anthony completed his double when the James Jenkins-trained Rushvale won the bumper. Ger pulled off a notable double when teaming up with trainer Mouse Morris to win the Kerry National at Listowel in September, 2015 and the BoyleSports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse in March, 2016, with Rogue Angel. The winning on margin on both high-profile occasions was a short-head.
