From County Wexford, Eamonn Corbett has the distinction of riding his first winner twice! His first success came on the Kings Light, trained by Muredach Kelly, at Wexford on St Patrick's Day in 2011 but he was subsequently disqualified on a technicality and Eamonn had to wait until another Bank Holiday meeting, this time on August 1st of the same year to officially get off the on the Paul Flynn-trained Fearchar in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Cork. Eamonn then spent time in Britain where he was based with Ian Williams and then Rebecca Curtis. In all he rode 29 winners during that spell and he returned home in July of 2014 and was quickly among the winners again.
