From Conna, County Cork, Richie Condon rode seven winners in Britain before relocating to Ireland to continue his riding career in 2018. Pat Fahy gave him his first winner in his native country when Casamari Abbey was successful at Clonmel in October of that year. 

Richie landed a notable success when partnering the Paul Hennessy-trained Heaven Help Us to win the the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Paddy Mullins Mares Handicap Hurdle at Leopardstown's Dublin Racing Festival in February 2021 and the following month he won the Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle on the same horse at the Cheltenham Festival. His weighroom colleagues famously gave him a guard of honour as he was led back to the winners' enclosure on the 33/1 winner.
