Did you know: Anthony started out his equestrian interest with sport horses having ridden in different classes from a young age. He then started working part-time with Monaghan-based trainer Oliver Brady and his passion for horse racing began. The flamboyant Brady, one of the great characters of Irish racing, died in September 2014 and Anthony McCann took over the training of his string of horses in Castleblaney, County Monaghan. Not long after, he had his first winner when Shabra's Bertolini scored at Punchestown. The same horse also gave Brady his final winner at Downpatrick the previous June.
