From Dunboyne, County Meath, Chris Timmons took out his trainer's licence in the summer of 2021 and saddled his first winner when the Jamie Powell-ridden Jazzelle won the Gormanlough Apprentice Handicap at Navan on Saturday, 4 of the same year.Â
Chris continued his career as a jump jockey as he began training, maintaining a successful relationship with Eddie Cawley. As a jockey, Timmons enjoyed his biggest success on Cawley-trained Forever Gold in the Porterstown Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse in 2016 and was also associated with Cawley's multiple winners Nobody Home and Golden Jewel.Â
