Did you know: Widely known as 'Boots' from his early days as a jockey in Edward O'Grady's yard, Niall Madden was a very accomplished rider and enjoyed great success in the 1970s and 1980s. He rode several Cheltenham Festival winners and was associated with some great horses like Golden Cygnet and Boreen Prince. He has enjoyed continues success as a dual-purpose trainer since sending out his first winner at Wexford in 1980.
