Downpatrick Racecourse is the oldest racecourse in Ireland, with racing first taking place over 330 years ago! Racing takes place from March to October and Downpatrick is one of three racecourses that only stages National hunt (jump) racing.
Downpatrick has a reputation for being one of the friendliest racecourses to visit, with themed race days such as Ladies Day and Family Day adding to the lively atmosphere.
