Based in Charlestown Stud on the outskirts of Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ciaran Murphy took over Dot Love's training licence on her retirement in January, 2021.

Murphy is a former amateur rider and rode six winners on the racecourse but many more in point-to-points. His first winner on a racecourse was also Love's first winner, I'm On The Line, at Kilbeggan in June, 2001.

Ciaran's twin brother Joseph represented Ireland in three-day eventing at the London Olympics in 2012, while his younger brother Aaron is also on the team at Charlestown Stud and rode one of Dot Love's final winners, Betty Zane.
